Math for Nursing

Start Dates: Open enrollment--student will receive access to this course shortly before the start date of June 2 (or within 2-3 business days following receipt of registration) and access will continue for up to one year or until the application deadline for the next Nursing Program, whichever comes first. Note: There will be no refund of the course fee once you receive the course access information.

Completion of this course is required for applicants to the STCC Nursing Program and also provides a great preparation for potential pharmacy students or a refresher for practicing health professionals. Learning dosage calculations from start to finish has never been more convenient! This web-based course makes the complex understandable and allows you to choose the learning method that works best for you. Beginning with a diagnostic math pretest and ending with two comprehensive posttests, 11 modules thoroughly cover both basic and advanced calculations. Realistic drug labels, syringes, and equipment complement the range of calculation competencies and over 1,500 questions, interactive activities, case studies, and practice tests will help you apply what you've learned. Students will have access to this course for one year from the time their registration is processed or until the deadline date for application to the next Nursing Program, whichever comes first. A minimum score of 80 is required for consideration for admission to the STCC Department of Nursing.
