Classes begin approximately every 8 weeks and can be completed on-line courses from your home or office, on your schedule.

In this 8-week course (20 hours), you will transcribe 39 doctor-dictated medical reports using your own audio cassette player with headphones and your word processor. The course includes a 20-chapter, 136-page transcription manual (in Word format) that you will download for printing, a 50-question practice exam for certification by the American Association of Medical Transcriptionists (AAMT), and two audiotapes of medical transcriptions that will be mailed to you. You need your own audiotape player with headphones and a computer with word processing software in order to participate in this course.
Participants will use a combination of audio tapes and on-line curriculum in this course and must have access to a computer, an email account, and an audiotape player. Students must also purchase the audiotape at www.dlearn.com at an approximate cost of $60 (includes shipping and handling).
