CCNT Web-Based Training Program
(All 6 WBT courses and online tests)

The Certified in Convergent Network Technologies (CCNT) program is the only vendor-neutral industry-endorsed training and certification program in core convergence technologies and is sponsored by the TIA (Telecommunications Industry Association). The program includes six courses. To obtain the CCNT certificate, candidates must pass all six online tests.  CBT offers training either online or as instructor-led programs.

What's is CCNT?

Telecommunications and data networks are converging at a rapid pace, and IT professionals are increasingly expected to understand both voice and data technologies. In response to this need, the CCNT program was developed. CCNT is the only vendor-neutral, industry-standard training and testing program in core convergence technologies sponsored by the TIA. To obtain this industry-valued credential, candidates must pass six competency tests:

  • Basic Telecommunications
  • Basic Data Communications
  • Computer-Telephony Integration (CTI) Essentials
  • Local Area Networks (LANs)
  • Broadband Technologies
  • Voice over IP (VoIP) Essentials
Why do I need CCNT?

The CCNT certificate program is for people who want to remain current in the data and telecommunications industries, including network administrators and engineers, telecom sales professionals, engineers and consultants; and telecom and data communications instructors. CCNT is also well suited to anyone taking advanced vendor-neutral or product-specific certification programs. CCNT enables students to:

  • Prove competency in data and telecommunications technologies;
  • Enhance career potential;
  • Build confidence.
What are some recommended job categories for CCNT?

Telecommunications personnel manage all groups and equipment associated with a company's telecommunications efforts, including satellite communications, video teleconferencing services, PBX or other phone systems. Job titles within this category are Telecommunications and Data Networking Specialist, Telecommunications Manager, Telecommunications Analyst, Sales Engineer and Call Center Manager.

What's in  the WBT CCNT Program and Online Test Set (All 6 WBT courses and online tests)?

This set includes the WBT courses and online tests for the 6 courses required for the CCNT certificate program.

The web-based, self-paced courses include a glossary, illustrations, and discussion questions. The courses can be viewed in shockwave from a PC or laptop with an Internet connection and browser, or it can be installed to a PC or laptop for offline study anytime, anywhere. All assignments/reading/exams are delivered to your desktop via the Internet.

Online tests included in this set are self-paced exams for all 6 courses required for the CCNT certificate program. The Test assessor allows three (3) attempts to pass the exam section by section. A section only needs to be passed once.

Users passing tests not taken as part of CCNT certificate will be issued certificates of completion. Users passing the tests that are part of CCNT will be issued a certificate from TIA (TM).
