Certification Description

CompTIA Project+ certification, is a vendor-neutral credential recognized worldwide. CompTIA Project+ validates the knowledge required to effectively plan, implement and complete IT projects across the organization. Those holding the certification demonstrate critical knowledge of business practices, interpersonal skills and project management processes.  The IT Project+ examination is designed for IT professionals with 12-months of experience in leading, managing and directing small IT projects. IT Project+ examines the business, interpersonal and technical skills required to successfully manage IT projects, as defined by experts in the industry.

Topics covered by this exam include: Project Management Fundamentals; Project Synthesis and Charter Creation; Developing the Project Scope's Skeleton; Refining the Project Scope; Finalizing the Project Scope and Presenting to Stakeholders; Requirements Analysis and Risk Assessment; Creating a Project Plan; The Work Breakdown Structure and Organizing and Finalizing the Project Planning Phase;   Managing Budgets, Schedules, Estimates, and Communications; Managing the Project, Managing Teams, Resources, and Quality; and Project Closure.
