Computer Quick Start

This seminar is designed to be a primer for students who have little or no experience with computers. The program will identify the different hardware and software components which make-up a "computer system." Students will be able to examine the internal components of a PC and gain a basic understanding of how it works. Participants will also explore the basics of hard disk and file management with the Windows Operating System. The lectures are geared for the beginner, and this program is perfect for those individuals who are planning to take the Windows seminar and feel they need a primer. This seminar is also a great source of information for novices who are planning to buy a new PC.

- How computer-based software applications are used in home computing and on the job.
- What computer information networks are and how they're used.
