Course Description

The CIW Security Professional series focuses on the management and deployment of e-business transaction and security solutions. These courses teach learners to implement e-business security policies by identifying security threats, developing counter measures using firewall systems, and implementing attack-recognition technologies.


Prerequisites: 

Students should have a thorough understanding of Internet fundamentals (i-Net+, CIW Foundations), server administration (MCSA, MCSE), and networking fundamentals (Network+, CCNA).


CIW Security Analyst Certification 

CIW Security Analysts configure, manage and deploy e-business solutions servers; and implement e-business and network security solutions. This CIW certification recognizes the achievements of those who have already attained a level of proficiency in networking administration and now want to validate and prove their competencies in security. CIW Security Analyst certification provides focused and streamlined validation of further proficiency in areas pertaining to systems security. CIW Security Analyst certification also demonstrates mastery of core vendor-neutral security skills combined with specialization in chosen software environments.

The candidate must meet the following 3 requirements.
     1. Pass one required CIW exam,
     2. Complete the CIW Certification Agreement (by logging into the CIW Candidate Information Center) and
