COMMERCIAL DRIVER LICENSE TRAINING (CDL-A) (160 hours)
Tractor-Trailer Operator

This 160-hour program offers individuals with little or no experience with classroom and on-the-road experience and an opportunity to qualify for a Commercial Driver License and entry-level employment as tractor-trailer operators. Program begins monthly with day, evening, and weekend schedules for your convenience.

Major topics will include:

• Safety/Regulations:

  • Accident Procedures

  • Drug and Alcohol Awareness

  • Load Balancing and Securing

  • Trip Planning

  • Log Book Instructions

  • Hazardous Materials

  • Preventative Maintenance

• Hours of Service CDL Class A Permit Preparation:

  • General Knowledge

COMMERCIAL HEAVY STRAIGHT TRUCK TRAINING (CDL-B) (40 hours)

This 40-hour program will offer individuals with little or no experience and/or training an opportunity to qualify for a Commercial Heavy Straight Truck Driver License (CDL-B) and for career opportunities as heavy straight truck operators. Program begins monthly with day, evening, and weekend schedules for your convenience.

Major topics will include:

• Introduction and History of Trucking

• Basic Regulations

• Range/Road Training including:

  • Pre-Trip Inspection

  • Backing Up

  • Basic Control, Left and Right-Hand Turns
